Elegant in Black and White

This tutorial is for those that have a working knowledge of PSP. This tutorial was written by me on the 3rd day of January 2011 and any resemblance is purely coincidental. I used PSP 9, but any version should work. I do not allow my tutorials to be translated and please do not claim them as your own. Supplies needed:
  • Tube of Choice: I’m using a tube from Barbara Jensen which you can purchase here from her store
  • Scrap Kit of choice: I am using Elegant a PTU Kit from Missy of SWA which you can purchase from here.
  • Mask of Choice
Plugins:

Let’s Begin:
1. Open a new image 600 x 600 we can resize later
2. Open Elegant_Frame.png
3. Resize by 70% and paste as a new layer on our working image
4. Click inside the frame with your magic Wand
5. Selections- Modify- Expand by 10
6. Open paper of choice and again resize by 70%
7. Paste your paper as a new layer on our working image
8. Selections- Invert
9. Hit delete on your keyboard one time
10. Select none
11. Move this layer below our frame
12. Open your tube at this time
13. Paste as a new layer on our working image
14. Move to your liking (crop excess)
15. Open the two Flowers (Elegant Flower 1 and 2)
16. Resize the black flower by 50% twice and sharpen
17. Copy and paste as a new layer on our working image
18. Place to the bottom of our frame
19. Highlight the white flower resize by 30% and then again by 60%
20. Paste as a new layer on our working image moving to the left of our black flower
21. Drag this layer below the black flower layer
22. Duplicate the white flower
23. Image Mirror
24. Add a slight drop shadow to all flower layers
25. Open butterflies of choice and resize by 30% and paste a few here and there along our frame (look at my tag for reference)
26. Merge layers visible
27. Duplicate and resize the top layer by 90%
28. Blur the top layer using Gaussian blur 10%
29. Change the top layer now to Hard light
30. Lower the opacity to 70-80% or your liking
31. Now open a paper of your choice
32. Copy and paste as a new layer on our working image
33. Send the paper layer to the bottom
34. Apply mask of your choosing ( I used one called Mask001) and not sure who it belongs to so I cannot supply it
35. Merge all layers visible
36. Resize your tag if you want at this time
37. Add your text and copyrights at this time and we are finished!!
38. Export as a PNG
