Winter Thoughts
This tutorial is for those that have a working knowledge of PSP. This tutorial was written by me on the 7th day of January 2011 and any resemblance is purely coincidental. I used PSP 9, but any version should work. I do not allow my tutorials to be translated and please do not claim them as your own. Supplies needed:
Tube of Choice: I’m using a tube from Barbara Jensen which you can purchase from her store here
Scrap Kit of choice: I am using Sleigh Bells a PTU Kit from Angels Designz which you can purchase from So Sweet Scraps
Mask: WSL_Mask230 which you can find here
Let’s Begin:
1. Open a new image 600 x 600 (we can resize later)
2. Open AD_Frame1.png
3. Paste as a new layer on our working image
4. Click in the center of our frame with your magic wand
5. Selections- Modify- Expand by 2
6. Open paper of choice and paste as a new layer
7. Selections- Invert
8. Hit delete on your keyboard
9. Selections- Select none
10. Move your paper layer below our frame
11. ( now if you want you can also click the outer layers from the frame and add paper into in there as well I chose not to)
12. Open AD_Candle.png and resize by 50% and again by 70%
13. Paste as a new layer on our working image and place to the right of our frame
14. Click again inside our frame layer
15. Selections- Modify- Expand by 2
16. Selections- Invert
17. Paste your tube as a new layer
18. Place to your liking
19. And hit delete on your keyboard
20. Move this below our candle and frame layer
21. Add a slight drop shadow to your tube layer
22. Open AD_Flower and resize by 50% and paste as a new layer on our working image
23. Open AD_String and paste as a new layer
24. Place towards the bottom of our frame layer
25. Move below our candle layer
26. Now with your selection tool select a portion of this string
27. Copy and paste as a new layer
28. Selection- select none
29. Now turn to tuck the string edge (look at my tag for reference)
30. Now merge your sting layers together
31. Rotate- to the left 90 degrees
32. Merge all layers visible once happy with your placement
33. Open paper of choice and paste as a new layer
34. Move below our main layer
35. Apply your mask WSL Mask 230 is the one I used
36. Merge Group
37. Resize by 85% and again by 90%
38. Add any additional elements you want at this time
39. Merge all layers visible
40. Add your text and copyrights at this time
41. Export as a PNG and we are finished
Floral Fae

- Scrap Kit of choice: I am using Mommas Pride a PTU Kit from Sassy Scraps which you can purchase again from InToXxiKaTed Intentionz
- Plugins: Muras Meister Copies
Let’s Begin:
1. Open a new image 600 x 600
2. Open mpj_cardboardframe.png
3. Resize by 75%
4. Paste as a new layer on our working image
5. Click inside the frame with your magic wand
6. Selections- Modify- Expand by 10
7. Open paper of your choice
8. Resize your paper by 50% and paste as a new layer on our working image
9. Selections – Invert
10. Hit delete on your keyboard one time
11. Move the paper layer below our frame
12. Selections- Select None
13. Open mpj_foldedflower3.png
14. Resize by 50%
15. Paste as a new layer on our working image
16. Plugins- Muras Meister Encircle at default settings
17. Move this layer to the bottom
18. Sharpen
19. Open mpj_foldedflower3.png
20. Open mpj-foldedflower2.png
21. Resize by 35%
22. Paste as a new layer again on our working image
23. Plugins- Muras Meister Encircle at default settings once again
24. Move down below our frame and paper layer but above the pink folded flower
25. Open your tube at this time and resize if necessary
26. Place your tube to your liking
27. Open mpj_wirepearls4.png and resize by 50%
28. Paste as a new layer on our working image
29. Open mpj_cardboardtag.png
30. Resize by 50 %
31. Resize again by 60%
32. Paste as a new layer and place to your liking
33. Open mpj_hangcharms.png
34. Resize by 40% and paste as a new layer on our working image
35. Place to your liking or look at my tag for placement
36. Place button of your choosing over the charms/ tag strings
37. Now go back and add a nice drop shadow to all of our layers
38. Once happy merge all layers visible
39. Resize by 75%
40. Adjust- Sharpness
41. Add text of choice and copyrights at this time
42. Export your tag as PNG and we are finished!!

Elegant in Black and White

Supplies needed:
Let’s Begin:
1. Open a new image 600 x 600 we can resize later
2. Open Elegant_Frame.png
3. Resize by 70% and paste as a new layer on our working image
4. Click inside the frame with your magic Wand
5. Selections- Modify- Expand by 10
6. Open paper of choice and again resize by 70%
7. Paste your paper as a new layer on our working image
8. Selections- Invert
9. Hit delete on your keyboard one time
10. Select none
11. Move this layer below our frame
12. Open your tube at this time
13. Paste as a new layer on our working image
14. Move to your liking (crop excess)
15. Open the two Flowers (Elegant Flower 1 and 2)
16. Resize the black flower by 50% twice and sharpen
17. Copy and paste as a new layer on our working image
18. Place to the bottom of our frame
19. Highlight the white flower resize by 30% and then again by 60%
20. Paste as a new layer on our working image moving to the left of our black flower
21. Drag this layer below the black flower layer
22. Duplicate the white flower
23. Image Mirror
24. Add a slight drop shadow to all flower layers
25. Open butterflies of choice and resize by 30% and paste a few here and there along our frame (look at my tag for reference)
26. Merge layers visible
27. Duplicate and resize the top layer by 90%
28. Blur the top layer using Gaussian blur 10%
29. Change the top layer now to Hard light
30. Lower the opacity to 70-80% or your liking
31. Now open a paper of your choice
32. Copy and paste as a new layer on our working image
33. Send the paper layer to the bottom
34. Apply mask of your choosing ( I used one called Mask001) and not sure who it belongs to so I cannot supply it
35. Merge all layers visible
36. Resize your tag if you want at this time
37. Add your text and copyrights at this time and we are finished!!
38. Export as a PNG

Baby Its Cold Outside

Scrap Kit of choice: I am using Snow Drift a PTU Kit from Juicy Bits which you can purchase from here.
Plugins:
Let’s Begin:
1. Open a new image 600 x 600 we can resize later
2. Open JB_Snowdrift_Element07.png
3. Paste as a new layer on our working image
4. Click within the center of our snow flake frame with your magic Wand
5. Selections- Modify- Expand by 4
6. Open paper05 and resize by 50%
7. Paste as a new layer on our working image
8. Selections – Invert- and hit delete on your keyboard one time
9. Select none
10. Move this below our frame layer
11. Open your tube at this time and resize and place to your liking
12. Open JB_Snowdrift_Element02.png and resize by 50% twice
13. Paste as a new layer on our working image
14. Place to your liking duplicate and move slightly over
15. You can add constellation at this time if you want a little more bling in the stars
16. Open bow of choice and place to the left of your tube
17. Open JB_Snowdrift_Element19.png and resize by 50%
18. Paste as a new layer on our working image
19. Move to the Center of your bow
20. Once satisfied Merge Visible
21. Add a drop shadow of your choosing
22. Duplicate just to make your image pop and stand out
23. Add your text and copyrights
24. That’s it we are finished

14. Place to your liking duplicate and move slightly over

No Plugins
Let’s Begin:
1. Open a new image 600 x 600 we can resize later
2. Open WP_ML_STAMPFRAME.png
3. Resize by 60% and paste as a new layer on our working image
4. Click inside the frame
5. Open paper of choice and paste as a new layer
6. Selections- Invert and hit delete one time on your keyboard
7. Open WP_ML_BLACKWHITEFLOURISH.png resize by 30%
8. Rotate the flourish by 90% to the left
9. Copy and paste as a new layer on our working image placing towards
The top left of our frame
10. Duplicate the flourish layer
11. Image flip
12. Image Mirror
13. Now drag over the lower left of our frame
14. Add drop shadow to the flourish layers
15. I used 0, 0, 100, 3 black
16. Open WP_ML_FRAGIPINI.png and resize by 30%
17. Paste as new layer and place to your liking
18. Open WP_ML_HIBISCUS.png
19. Resize by 30% and again by 50%
20. Paste to your liking near our black flower
21. Duplicate and move to the other side of our black flower
22. Add drop shadow of your liking at this time
23. Open WP_ML_FEATHER.png and resize by 30%
24. Paste as a new layer in the center of our flowers
25. Move this layer beneath our flowers
26. Add a faint drop shadow at this time
27. Paste your tube at this time and resize if necessary
28. Add any additional elements at this time
29. Add your copyrights at this time
30. Once completely happy make sure to crop your tag
