Shy Butterfly


This tutorial is for those that have experience working knowledge of PSP. This tutorial was written by me on May 15, 2013 and any resemblance is purely coincidental. I use PSP 9, but any version should work. I do not allow my tutorials to be translated and please do not claim them as your own. Things Needed:

Tube/Image of choice:  I am using the work of Alex Prihodko which is a PTU Artist at PicsforDesigns
Kit of choice: I am using a kit from Designs by Sarah called Spring Butterfly which can be purchased at Pimp My Tags with Scraps

Plugins: None Needed

Masks/Templates: None Needed

Other Items Needed:  Font-Before the Rain found here at Dafont

Let’s Begin:

1)      Open a new transparent image 600 x 600 (this will be called our working image and we can resize at the end if you choose to do so)

2)      Open sb_pmt_spring-butterfly_frame 4.png  (or frame of choice)

3)      Copy and paste on to our working image

4)      Resize our frame by 70%

5)      With our magic wand click inside of our frame

6)      Selections- Modify- Expand by 10

7)      Open paper of your choice (I used sb_pmt_spring-butterfly_pp3.jpg)

8)      Copy the paper

9)      Highlight Raster 1

10)   Paste paper of your choosing into selection

11)   Add a drop shadow to our frame layer which should be Raster 2  (I used 0,0,100, 5.0, black)

12)   Open sb_pmt_spring-butterfly_greenery 2.png

13)   Resize by 50%

14)   Copy and paste onto our working image-moving to the bottom left of our frame

15)   Duplicate this layer

16)   Image mirror (you may have to move slightly)

17)   Add a drop shadow to both of the greenery layer

18)   Open sb_pmt_spring-butterfly_grass.png

19)   Resize by  75%

20)   Place to your liking- and add a slight drop shadow (I moved this layer below the greenery)

21)   Open sb_pmt_spring-butterfly_flower 8.png and resize by 60%

22)   Copy and paste on our working image

23)   Place to your liking—Again I moved to the left of our frame with the grass and greenery

24)   Open sb_pmt_spring-butterfly_flower 6.png

25)   Resize by 50% twice

26)   Copy and paste as a new layer on our working image

27)   Place to your liking-

28)   Repeat this step with a couple more flowers of your choosing

29)   Once happy with your flowers –open sb_pmt_spring-butterfly_butterfly 3.png

30)   Resize by 50% and place to your liking

31)   Duplicate your butterfly layer

32)   Resize by 75% and move to another place of your liking

33)   Open your tube and resize if necessary

34)   Copy and paste as a new layer and place to your liking

35)   Add any other elements of your choosing at this time

36)   Merge visible

37)   Open sb_pmt_spring-butterfly_print 1.png

38)   Resize by 50%

39)   Move to the top left of our frame

40)   Effects—plugins—simple  top left mirror

41)   Now send that layer to the bottom

42)   Sharpen if necessary

43)   Merge visible once again

44)   Now if you choose to resize your tag do so now (I resized by 70%)

45)   Now add your copyrights (please only use tubes you have a license to use)

46)   Add your text at this time

 That’s it we are finished! I really love how this one came out and I hope that you do too.
