This tutorial is for those that have a working knowledge of PSP. This tutorial was written by me on the 16th day of June 2011 and any resemblance is purely coincidental. I used PSP 9, but any version should work. I do not allow my tutorials to be translated and please do not claim them as your own. If you would like to share the tutorial please send a link to my blog.
Things Needed:
Tube of choice: I am using the work of the talented Caron Vinson which you can purchase at CDO ; though I bought mine at the former CILM.

Kit of choice: I am using the kit called Clear Day from Sugarkissed Designs

Let’s Begin:

1. Open a new transparent image 650 x 650 we will call this our working image (we will definitely be resizing later.)
2. Open SK_CDay_El22.png and paste as a new layer on our working image
3. Open SK_CDay_El02.png and paste as a new layer on our working image
4. Move over to the left hand side of Element 22 until satisfied with the placement
5. Duplicate this layer
6. Image—Mirror
7. Now move this top layer to the bottom
8. Highlight raster 2
9. Click in the center of the circle using your magic wand to select inside the frame
10. Selections—Modify—Expand by 10
11. Open paper of choice ( I used paper 5) and paste as a new layer on our working image
12. Selections—invert
13. Hit delete on your keyboard one time
14. Selections—Select none
15. Move this layer beneath the circle frame layer
16. Now repeat steps 11-15 with each of the squares (using papers of your choice)
17. Now all of our frames should have papers in them
18. Highlight our very top layer
19. Open SK_CDay_El24.png
20. Resize by 85%
21. Paste as a new layer on our working image
22. Move to the top of our frame
23. Image—Duplicate
24. Image—Flip
25. Merge layer down
26. Duplicate again
27. Image—Rotate making sure all layers is Unchecked by 90 degrees
28. Merge layer down again
29. Now move this layer to the very bottom and add a drop shadow
30. My drop shadow settings are -5, 5, 25, 2 shadow on new layer Unchecked
31. Open SK_CDay_El30.png
32. Resize by 50%
33. Paste as a new layer and slightly rotate to your liking with your deform tool
34. Crop off the excess so that it is not covering our middle frame
35. Once happy add a drop shadow ( I used the same one as before)
36. Duplicate
37. Image—Flip
38. Now you will have to move this one up to fit at the bottom of the frame
39. Open SK_CDay_El35.png and paste as a new layer on our working image
40. Move to your liking
41. Now open SK_CDay_El34.png and move to the flower and move below the flower layer
42. Open SK_CDay_El29.png and resize by 50%
43. Paste as a new layer and place to your liking
44. Add your tube or tubes at this time ( You will have your main tube and then one in each of the frames)
45. Once satisfied make sure all layers have a drop shadow…
46. Merge all layers visible
47. Resize by 75% all layers checked
48. Go to image—canvas size
49. Make your canvas size 500 x 500 with the center button ticked
50. Open SK_CDay_El32.png and paste as a new layer
51. Now send this layer to the bottom
52. Add your name and of course your copyright layer and we will now call it done!!
Hope that you like the results…. Export as a .png and I would love to see your results!!

My Disclosure

My tutorials are just that- Mine.In other words I really don't want them on other sites or translated. If you would like to share my tutorial then please do just that by sharing the link to my blog or a link straight to the tutorial. At the time I write the tutorial I use the artists website at the time as well as the kit designers link at the time and it would take quite some time to go back and edit all of my tutorials and posts to reflect all changes that happen. So if by chance you cant find something or a link I provided has gone bad please contact me and I will do my best to help! I write tutorials in hopes that others will use them as a guide and send me their results so I can also post others results to show people other samples other than my own. All tutorials are written by me and any resemblance is purely coincidental. I write my tutorials in PSP 9 but they should work with other versions as well. Not all tutorials are for beginners but all levels of creators are encouraged to try working on the following tutorials!!! Have fun... and be copyright safe!!!!
