Pretty In Pink II



This tutorial is for those that have a working knowledge of PSP. This tutorial was written by me on
July 30th 2012 and any resemblance is purely coincidental. I use PSP 9, but any version should work. I do not allow my tutorials to be translated and please do not claim them as your own. If you would like to share the tutorial please send a link to my blog. Thank you!

Things Needed:
Tube/Image of choice: I am using the tubes that are included with the kit which are ©Paci
Kit of choice: I am using SYCLAIRSKULLY by Shani a.k.a. Wicked Princess Scraps which you can buy here at Whimsical Divas
Plugins: None
Masks/Templates: None

Let’s Begin:
1. Open PSP and create a new image 600 x 600 with the resolution set at 72 (we will call this our working image)
2. Open WP_SYS_LARGECIRCLEFRAME.png
3. Resize by 65% and paste as a new layer on our working image
4. Open Paper of choice ( I used paper 9)
5. Click in the center of the frame on our working image with your magic wand
6. Selections- Modify- expand by 10
7. Copy your paper and paste as a new layer on our working image
8. Move your paper layer to the bottom
9. Selections – Invert
10. Now hit delete on your key board
11. Select None
12. Open WP_SYS_CIRCLECLUSTER.png
13. Resize by 65%
14. Paste as a new layer on our working image
15. Now move this layer to the bottom right part of the frame
16. Send this layer to the bottom
17. Now duplicate this layer
18. Image – Flip
19. Open WP_SYS_VINE2.png
20. Resize by 65% and paste as a new layer on your working image
21. Image- Mirror
22. Now move over to the left side of our frame
23. Now using your selection tool (point to point) select part of the vine to delete to make it appear to be wrapping around the frame
24. Now add a drop shadow to the layers of your choice I used 0,0,100,2 black
25. Add a butterfly of your choosing (make sure to resize to make it fit with everything else)
26. Open WP_SYS_SPLAT.png and paste as a new layer on our working image
27. Move this to the top left to cover the top left half of the tag
28. Send this layer to the bottom
29. Duplicate the splat layer
30. Image – Mirror-
31. Image- Flip
32. Now it’s time to add our tube of choice ( I am using one from the kit)
33. Place to your liking
34. Now add your copyright and text
35. That’s it we have a cute tag (add more things if You choose to do so)

I am getting more motivated :)

Things have been pretty rough for me lately. My fibro and lupus has been kicking my butt in a miserable way and I was losing interest in everything, but Im coming around much more now. I have 2 kits in the works and have requested some of my CT groups kits so now I need to get moving. I am in the middle of a horrible flare up but I really want to get into PSP!!! So here I go... Lets get this party started!!! Im off to play in PSP woot woot!!!

Sending Prayers Tag & Tut





This tutorial is for those that have a working knowledge of PSP. This tutorial was written by me on April 01, 2012 and any resemblance is purely coincidental. Things Needed:
Tube/Image of choice: I am using the work of the talented Zindy S.D. Nielsen which you can buy from her store here. Please do not use her images without a proper license.

Kit of choice: I am using a PTU kit from Leigh Penrod of Heartfelt Perfections called Cottage Mouse which you can buy from her Heartfelt Perfections Store or even at the new scrap store called Whimsical Divas.

Let’s Begin:
1.) Open a new image 600 x 600 72DPI transparent image (this we will call our working image)
2.) Open a frame of your choice I am using lp-f3.png
3.) Resize by 35% all layers and then copy and paste as a new layer on our working image
4.) Click in the center of your frame with your magic wand
5.) Selections-Modify- Expand by 5
6.) Open a paper of your choice and paste as a new layer on our working image
7.) Selections- invert
8.) Now hit delete on your keyboard
9.) Selections- Select None
10.) Now move your paper layer below our frame layer
11.) Open element elp-e28.png and resize to your liking
12.) Paste as a new layer on our working image and place to the left side of your frame
13.) Open lp-e19.png and resize by 25% and paste as a new layer
14.) Now lower this ribbon to place towards the bottom of our previous element
15.) Add your tube at this time depending on what tube you are using you can make it look like your tube is hanging out of the frame or just place in the center of our frame. Use your imagination with this part depending on your tube.
16.) Open one of the heart sprays and resize by 25% and again by 50%
17.) Paste as a new layer and place to your liking
18.) Open flower of choice (I am using the blue rose)
19.) Resize by 15% and again by 25% and paste in the middle of our bow
20.) Now add your copyrights and your name at this time
21.) If you would like to add more elements please do so at this time.
22.) Open a drop shadow of your liking to each of our elements
23.) I used 0, 0, 65, 2.00 Black
24.) Once satisfied with your tag merge all visible
25.) Resize by 65%-85% and sharpen
26.) Export your image as a .PNG
27.) There you have it a simple yet soft and elegant tag that shouts love from the rooftops!

Hippo Song Tag and Extras

Now I will say this kit was like awwwwwwwwwww how cute, and then my original idea fell thru and then all of a sudden these tags came together. My thought behind it is "Family is Family: Regardless of the Species"
and I think this tag totally represents the awwwwwwwwww and the concept behind the theme I was going for. This kit is called The Hippo Song and is Crafted by Gina of Kikeka Kits which you can purchase here, here, here and even here.
