Sexy Burlesque

This tutorial is for those that have experience working knowledge of PSP. This tutorial was written by me on May 08, 2013 and any resemblance is purely coincidental. I use PSP 9, but any version should work. I do not allow my tutorials to be translated and please do not claim them as your own. Things Needed:

Tube/Image of choice:  I am using the art of Barbara Jensen, this tube is an exclusive tube that is only available at Scraps and the City

Kit of choice: I am using Sexy Chicks by Cora aka Pimp’d Designz which can be found here at Pimp My Tags with Scraps

Plugins: NONE

Masks/Templates: Vix_Mask236 which can be found here at VixPSP Masks

Other Items Needed: Xiomara Font which can be found at dafont.com

Let’s Begin:

1)      Open a new image 600 x 600 (this will be our working image)

2)      Open pd13-frame-02.png 

3)      Copy and paste as a new layer on working image

4)      Resize by 75%

5)      Click in the center of our frame with our magic wand

6)      Selections-Modify- Expand- Number of pixels 15

7)      Open paper of your choosing ( I used pd13-pp-04.png)

8)      Copy and paste as a new layer on our working image

9)      Resize by 75%

10)   Selections-invert

11)   Hit delete on your keyboard

12)   Selections-Select none

13)   Layers- Arrange- Send to bottom

14)   Open pd13-mesh-01.png

15)   Copy and paste as a new layer on our working image

16)   Resize by 50%

17)   I left this under the frame too , I love how the mesh looks

18)   Duplicate- Image-Flip

19)   Now open pd13-leaves-01.png and place as a new layer on our working image

20)   Resize by 50%

21)   Move over to the bottom left corner of our frame

22)   Duplicate this layer and place to your liking again in the bottom left

23)   Now Merge the leaf  layers together

24)   On the duplicated layer we are going to use our  hue and saturation to make the duplicated leaves a green color

25)   Now using our deform tool rotate just a tad so you can see the black leaves too

26)   Open pd13-flower-01.png

27)   Copy and paste as a new layer on our working image

28)   Resize by 75% twice

29)   Place the flower to your liking

30)   Open pd13-chandelier.png and paste as a new layer on our working image

31)   Resize by 50%

32)   Move the chandelier to the center of our frame

33)   Layers- Arrange-Move layer down until it is under the frame but above the paper layer

34)   Now open pd13-gem.png

35)   Copy and paste as a new layer on our working image

36)   Resize by 50% and move to the top center of our frame (if needed go to layers, arrange-send to top

37)   Now add a couple of leaves around the gem as well(this makes the gem really pop)

38)   Open your tube at this time and paste to your liking

39)   Add a nice drop shadow

40)   Add any additional elements that you would like to add at this time

41)   Merge layers visible

42)   Open paper of your choosing at this time

43)   Copy and paste as a new layer on our working image

44)   Layers-Arrange-Send to bottom

45)   Layers- Load/Save Mask from Disk

46)   Choose Vix_Mask236  with the following settings:

Source Luminance

Fit to layer

Hide all Mask

47)   Merge group

48)   Image resize by 75%

49)   Effects-Texture Effects-Blinds with the following settings:

Width 2

Opacity 15

Color White

Light from Left Top

50)   Add your copyrights at this time

51)   Add your name

52)   Now we are finished and I hope you like your results!!

Things Needed:

Tube/Image of choice:  I am using the work of Maryline Cazenave and you can purchase her work @ Creative Design Outlet

Kit of choice: I am using a kit called Blush by Polka dotScraps which can be found here at Pimp My Tags with Scraps

Plugins: NONE

Masks/Templates: NONE

Other Items Needed: Font of Choice

Let’s Begin:

1)      Open a new image 600 x 600 (this will be called working image throughout the tutorial)

2)      Open PDS_B- tag.png copy and paste as a new layer on our working image

3)      Resize by 75%

4)      Open  PDS_B- heart2.png and move over to the left

5)      Add a nice drop shadow (I use 0,0,75,5.00 black)

6)      Open PDS_B- leaves2.png

7)      Resize by 75% and place to the left  to your liking

8)      Duplicate- Image- Mirror-  and place to your liking

9)      Add a nice  drop shadow again I used the same as above)

10)   Open PDS_B- heart1.png and resize by 25%

11)   Place them above the top of the tag to your liking

12)   Again add a nice drop shadow

13)   Open a flower of your choosing ( I used PDS_B- flower3.png)

14)   Place your flower of choice on  the knot of the bow

15)   Open PDS_B- scatter3.png and resize by 85% twice

16)   Layers- arrange- send to the bottom

17)   Add a drop shadow (this time I went with 0,0, 100,2)

18)   Add your tube at this time and place to the right of our tag

19)   Again add a nice drop shadow

20)   Add your copyrights and any other text of choice

That’s it we are good to go- something quick, elegant, and cute.

A Simple Splash of Color

Top Tag:

With the  plugin effect which looks great on a white background

but the darker backgrounds tend to make the tag look strange.

 

Bottom Tag:

I left the plugin effect off which allows the tag

to be placed on any background.

 

 

Things Needed:

Tube/Image of choice:  I didn’t use a tube but you can if you would like- :)

Kit of choice: I am using Artistic Expressions by Grunge andGlitter which can be found here at Pimp My Tags with Scraps

Plugins: Penta: Dot and Cross

Masks/Templates: None

Other Items Needed: Font of your choosing

Let’s Begin:

1)      Open a new Image 600 x 600 (this will now be called our working layer)

2)      Open the paint splatter and resize by 50%

3)      Duplicate the paint splatters

4)      Image- Flip

5)      Image-Mirror

6)      You can move the splats around so that they are to your liking

7)      Open the paint brush and resize by 50%

8)      Place to the left of our paint splatters

9)      New Raster Layer

10)   With your selection tool draw a rectangle and flood fill with color of choice

11)   Selections- Modify- Contract by 10

12)   Hit delete on the keyboard

13)   Now move this layer below the paint brush layer

14)   Now select the inside of our frame with your magic wand

15)   Selections- Modify- Expand by 5

16)   Open  paper of your choosing at this time

17)   Copy and paste as a new layer on your working image

18)   Selections-invert

19)   Hit delete once again

20)   Select none

21)   Layers- arrange- move down

22)   Now your paper layer should be beneath the frame we created

23)   Using your deform tool slightly rotate your paintbrush to your liking

24)   Open flower of choice and resize to your liking and place to the left with the paintbrush

25)   Open ribbon 4 and resize by 50%

26)   Copy and paste as a new layer on our working image

27)   Place the ribbon at the bottom of our frame and slightly over to the left

28)   Move below our flower layer

29)   Now we are going to remove parts of the ribbon along the bottom of the frame to make the ribbon look as if its wrapped around the frame

 

30)   Open butterfly of your choosing

31)   Resize by 50%

32)   Copy and place to the bottom right corner of our frame

33)   Open button one, resize by 50%

34)   Copy and paste as a new layer on our working image

35)   Move to the left and place in the center of our flower

36)   Feel free to add any additional elements at this time

37)   Add your name at this time

38)   If you choose to use a tube please do not forget to add artists’ copyright (and make sure you have the proper license to use the tube.

39)   Once you have added your name merge all layers visible

40)   Duplicate the layer

41)   Close off the top layer

42)   On our bottom layer  adjust, blur, Gaussian blur, Radius: 10

43)   Effects-Plugins-Penta-colordot

 

44)   Duplicate this layer one time

45)   Image- flip

46)   Image-Mirror

47)   You might have to move this around a tad to get the desired look of choice

48)   Merge the two bottom layers together and lower opacity to your liking (mine is 50%)

49)   Unhide your top layer now and merge visible once more

50)   Crop your tag layer down to get rid of all the extra space
